THE SECRET OF LIFE

The secret of life is to

Listen what elders say,

In a size of a bay.

To have some conscience

When we do a scene.

Bade a farewell to anyone we see.

Create a true image of yourself

In the heart of someone himself

By watching you all the time.

Follow the principles of honesty

Follow the principles of peace

Follow the principles of help

Never talk back speech

Write it on the mud of the beach,

Forget it when you’re on the reach*

The secret of life is to

Listen what elders say,

In a size of the bay.

{*reach : here , when you’ll

meet the same person again}

The Feast on the train Sequel

“I can’t believe it”, Bichkun said. The old man with whom they were friends on the train turned out to be Kalikumar Tarkalanka. Along with the teacher and the secretary they went to the school.
The witty boy in his anger composed another poem called “The revenge of the bitter lemon”. When they reached their rooms they shouted,”Kali you foolish man and cheat. You bribed us with mangoes which we love to eat”.
“What is this”? A voice said. It was the secretary.” Its 10 pm go to sleep”.” We won’t!” shouted Bichkun. “If you don’t then you won’t get the surprise”. “What surprise?” The boys asked.” Sleep and you will find out tomorrow”, the secretary convinced.
The next day the boys went to the assembly. “Today is a special day as our students from this school are participating in the national singing contest. From our school Bichkun and his friends will participate.  I really liked your poetry and the way you sang boys. You will be great”, said Mr. Tarkalankar.
A week later the boys prepared a song called “the return of the glowing night”. With the judge examining them they started to sing:
“Smart, boastful, silly, silly, but we are also very witty.
Cool, big and stunning, but undoubtly cunning.
Only we can, can, make you hot even with a fan.
We are all smart, with a great sense of art”.
“Amazing”, the judge said as he gave us the trophy. “This doesn’t belong to us”, Bichkun announced. Then all the boys gave it to Tarkalankar sir and said,
“Kali, Kali, Kali, we are really, really sorry.
We are very glad and promise never to be bad”.

My story – like "The Selfish giant"

When I was a small girl, every afternoon, as I came from school, I used to play in the school garden, which was near the Xerox shop in our school. It was a small, pleasant garden with yellow flowers and green trees. Many birds built their nests in that garden. It had many play equipments. There was an old lady who waited for us to come, she had the keys for the gate. When all my playmates came, she would open it for us. Some years passed. When I finished my third grade, the management officer told, we should not play in that garden as it was meant only for kids. Meanwhile the old lady retired from service. We cherished our happy play times every now and then. One day a friend of mine found a hole in the compound wall. I crept through it and played in the garden again. But very soon the hole was closed with some bricks. I missed the garden very much. Whenever I went to the Xerox shop, I spend some time looking at the garden. I really miss those happy days and also the kind old lady who waited for us to come.
